Start and Park: Car Parking along the road in Alfreton Park or a small car park within Alfreton Park. Alfreton Park Wingfield Road, Alfreton, DE55 7AL.

Route: A circular route, Alfreton Park, golf course, woodland walk to South Wingfield passing Wingfield Manor (No Access) and circle back through the village across the fields into Alfreton. A pub stop, Wetherspoons, on the walk is possible half a mile before the end of the walk. (The walk includes a mixture of footpaths short sections on the road, open fields and NOTE COWS may be possible.

DOG OWNERS: There is a clay pigeon shooting range on-route. Loud bangs will be heard. Some styles maybe difficult to cross!
Please bring sandwiches for lunch. The pub stop will be busy on Mothering Sunday for anything more than drinks!

Park and Start at the Ferrers Centre Staunton Harold; off the B587 between Lount and Melbourne; follow signs and park on the Ferrers Centre car park.
A Circular walk to include 3km of The Staunton Ridgeway Path; a permissive footpath created by the owner of the Staunton Harold Estates. Hear you will cross the thirteen stiles, each one hand-crafted and inscribed to make up two quotations. Also included in the walk is the church at Breedon on the Hill which was founded as a monastery about 676 AD. It stands on the site of an Iron Age hill-fort and was re-founded as an Augustinian Priory in the early 12th Century. Return to Staunton Harold for refreshments at the Ferrers centre afterwards.

Free parking but no facilities.

Walk heads over towards Biggin and down Biggindale to meet Wolfscote Dale then follows the River Dove towards Milldale, via Shining Tor. Toilet facilities at Milldale. Picnic lunch here probably. From Milldale we continue following the River Dove to Dove Holes then climb up and over to Tissington. Toilets/kiosk or cafe here where we can stop if time. From Tissington we head for Parwich (pub here also if time) then on via Ballidon and Roystone Grange to Minninglow Hill and back to car park. Some easy walking sections and gentle hills but with a few steep climbs.

It will follow the same format - long, medium and short walks available - finishing with sharing food and drink that all fellow walkers have brought with them plus a raffle.
As before please bring some food or drink that you are happy to share with others. Would you provide a label for your food please. Tea/coffee/milk will be available all day. The Hall has crockery and some serving equipment & pots and pans. You can bring a deckchair or outdoor blanket for use in the garden if you wish.

This is a ticket only event. Tickets will be 3 each and are available from committee members or by bank transfer. If you are using the bank transfer method can you confirm your name and that you are purchasing Baslow tickets so we can reserve you a ticket to give to you on the day - this makes sure you will be part of the raffle.
